Zach Abeyta is a local stand-up comedian and Bboy from Albuquerque New Mexico. He has been breakdancing for eight years and represents the Flava Pheenz Crew.
Straight from the cypher to the stage, Zach Abeyta can be seen regularly at comedy shows around the town. His comedy style is just as expressive as his dance moves, mixing creative wording with heavy physicality. Zach has won several comedy contests, appeared in magazines, and performed at multiple comedy festivals. He runs his own comedy show monthly at Canteen Brewhouse. Lookout for a chance to see Zach performing across the southwest.
James Adomian is a comedian and actor well known for his standup, characters and impressions. As Bernie Sanders, James is one-half of Trump vs. Bernie, a comedy debate act that includes a memorable guest appearance on Comedy Central and two TV specials for Fusion, along with a live international tour in 2016.
James has performed standup on John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show on Comedy Central, and on NBC’s Last Comic Standing where he was a Top 10 finalist. James has also performed to much acclaim over the years at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and many other top comedy festivals.
He has guest starred on Comedy Central’s @MIDNIGHT, The Meltdown and Drunk History, on Adult Swim’s Children’s Hospital and on IFC’s Comedy Bang! Bang! as a variety of guest characters.
James has done recurring voiceover on numerous animated shows, including Our Cartoon President on Showtime, Bob’s Burgers, BoJack Horseman, American Dad, Future Worm, Talking Tom, and Pig Goat Banana Cricket.

Maria Bamford starred in and executive produced the semi-autobiographical Netflix comedy series Lady Dynamite, created by Mitch Hurwitz (Arrested Development) and Pam Brady (South Park). Maria is also the creator and star of Maria Bamford: the special special special and of the cult hit web series The Maria Bamford Show. She was the first female comic to have two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials and starred alongside Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis and Brian Posehn in the Comedy Central series The Comedians of Comedy and Netflix’s Comedians of Comedy: The Movie. She has voiced characters on countless animation series including Big Mouth, Talking Tom and Friends, BoJack Horseman, Adventure Time, Bob’s Burgers, Legend of Korra, Puss in Boots, CatDog and PBS’s Emmy-winning series Word Girl. Maria played DeBrie Bardeaux on the Netflix reboot of Arrested Development and also recurred on the ABC hit series Fresh off the Boat. She is the 2014 winner of the American Comedy Award for Best Club Comic. Maria’s late night appearances include CONAN, The Tonight Show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Kendra Jean Brand has brought her daddy issue humor through a variety of venues, including The Stage at The Santa Ana Star Casino, The Historic El Rey Theatre and Open Source Comedy Club. She has opened for Kate Willett, Anne Heche and a lot of other people you probably don’t know. Kendra Jean won Albuquerque the Magazine's Best Local Comic in the Best of the City 2018 and Albuquerque’s Tractor Comedy Contest: Battle of The Sexes in September 2017.
Kendra Jean Brand hosted and was a contributing writer for New Mexican political satire TV show, The New Mexican Inquisition. She hosted, wrote and produced Albuquerque’s only game show, Hour Now. Kendra Jean also works for The Dinner Detective and Geeks Who Drink. Kendra Jean got her start in comedy with sketch and improv comedy groups Comedy Question Mark and Rumble Productions, as a sketch writer and performer for 4 years, however fell in love with stand up comedy in the romantic spring of 2017.
Cesar Cervantes is originally from El Paso, TX where he first took the stage at the Comic Strip at the ripe age of 18. He’s a practicing Catholic most Sundays, is a proud new dad, was a contestant on Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight and can be seen in movies such as Our Father, Line of Duty and The Bookie.
John Cuellar is well known throughout the local Albuquerque comedy scene. A native of Albuquerque, John can be found at many local comedy events cracking jokes about family, politics, the supernatural (the actual phenomenon not the tv show) and just about anything else that catches his eye. John Cuellar has been writing and performing comedy for over ten years. He is the host of Albuquerque's most viewed comedy podcast Potential Problems Podcast.
Lela Dawkins has a background in acting and improv, but is new to comedy...and loving every minute of it! Her material is based on real-life observations and stories, and audiences love her for her relatability. Lela is so proud to have been included on Carlos Medina's All Fierce Comedy, and is thrilled to perform on CloudTop's Locals' Showcase!
Jordan Doll is a standup comedian and actor from Denver, Colorado where he is a regular at the world famous Comedy Works. If he looks familiar, it might be because you saw him on Viceland’s Flophouse, or the Comedy Central Snapchat channel, or dressed up like a potato skin in that one TGIFridays commercial. Or maybe you caught him at Just For Laughs Montreal, High Plains Comedy Festival, or San Francisco Sketch fest; opening for the likes of Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Posehn or Kyle Kinane? No? Well. Maybe it was something else. He does just kind of have one of those faces.
Naomi Ekperigin is a comedian/writer, her writing credits include HBO's MRS. FLETCHER, multiple seasons on BROAD CITY, NBC's GREAT NEWS, and CBS All Access series NO ACTIVITY. She also wrote a pilot for Jessica Williams at Comedy Central. As an actor, she has appeared on ABC’s SINGLE PARENTS as well as Freeform’s ALONE TOGETHER. Naomi has performed stand-up on LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS as well as the 2 DOPE QUEENS special for HBO. She has also had a half hour special on Comedy Central. Additionally, Naomi co-hosts the popular live show and podcast COUPLES THERAPY.
Comedian Kellen Erskine has appeared on Conan, Jimmy Kimmel, NBC's America's Got Talent, and the Amazon Original Series Inside Jokes. He has garnered over 30 million views with his clips on Dry Bar Comedy. In 2018 he was selected to perform on the coveted “New Faces” showcase at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal--comedy's most prestigious event. Kellen was named one of TBS's Top Ten Comics to Watch in 2017, and he performed at the TBS New York Comedy Festival. He's appeared on nationally syndicated radio, including the Bob and Tom Show and Todd N Tyler. Kellen has been a finalist of both the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and the Great American Comedy Festival; he has also performed at the Bridgetown, Big Sky, and Boston Comedy Festivals.
A stand-up comedian, writer and actor Fortune Feimster first made a name for herself on CHELSEA LATELY. Feimster currently stars in the NBC series, CHAMPIONS, as a series regular and is known for her role of ‘Nurse Collette on Hulu’s THE MINDY PROJECT. Her Netflix stand up special was released last summer and received rave reviews. Feimster has also performed stand-up on TBS’s ‘Conan,’ Comedy Central’s ‘@midnight’ and has her own Comedy Central half hour special.
Feimster can be seen in a fun role for the Amblin Pictures feature film, OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY in addition to the adventure comedy, DEPORTED. Amblin recently acquired BAD COP, BAD COP a feature that she co-wrote and will star in. Prior to that Fortune co-wrote and sold two comedy pilots to ABC with the latter being produced by Tina Fey. Previously, Feimster had a recurring role on CBS’ LIFE IN PIECES and many guest appearances on hit TV shows including DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, IDIOTSITTER, WORKAHOLICS, DRUNK HISTORY, @MIDNIGHT.
Fortune now headlines the best comedy clubs across the country and is one of comedy’s fastest rising stars.
Curt Fletcher has appeared at some of the biggest clubs in the country with some of the biggest names of comedy including; Jim Norton, Kyle Kinane, Harland Williams, T.J. Miller, Carl LaBove, Josh Blue, Chris Porter, Theo Von, Jackie Kashian, Dan Soder, Finesse Mitchell, and Brian Posehn. In 2007, he advanced to the semifinals of the HBO Lucky 21 competition. He was also selected for the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, and the Laughing Skull Festival in Atlanta.
Curt made his television debut in 2010 on the late night talk show, The After After Party, hosted by Steven Michael Quezada (Breaking Bad). He appeared on the show four times. Curt co-wrote The Consequences of a Feeble Mind, with Marc Shuter (The Bigfoot Election). The screenplay was selected as a finalist in the Write Movies International Screenplay Contest and the StoryPros Screenplay Contest. It was also a semifinalist in the Creative World Awards Screenplay Contest, Circus Road Screenplay Contest, Screenplay Festival and Final Draft’s Big Break Contest. He was also a writer for the AVN Awards on Showtime in 2014.
Josh Fournier is a native of New Mexico and a literal Native. He's already blazed a trail through the scene. His comedic humor was started as a strip club DJ and has since moved to the comedy stage and has performed at the Four Corners Comedy Festival 3 years in a row, headlined his own shows in Durango Farmington its surrounding areas, has opened for Netflix comics Jake Daniels and Tony Dijamco on the Jokers and Jesters comedy tour and has also performed at Northern Edge Casino. He recently became a part of Native Kings of comedy. A young pup on the road, Josh has performed multiple States including Colorado Arizona Wyoming Oregon Washington. He's one of the Southwest rising Stars and brings energy to the stage with every performance.
Ann Gora is a comedian, writer, and podcaster from Nashua, NH. The creator and former long-time emcee of Albuquerque's prolific Vagrant Variety, she has been featured and headlined showcases nationwide. She was a featured performer at Motor City Comedy Festival, The Southwest Chief Bike & Comedy Festival and accepted into Hell Yes Fest. Her current work is as Head Writer and Analyst for NM's own news satire show, The NM Inquisition. She also hosts a podcast, AlbuCrazy and is a contributor for the written comedy podcast, I Did It. She has opened for John Fugelsang, Dave Ross, Todd Barry, April Richardson, Moshe Kasher, Natasha Leggero, and Cameron Esposito. She even once unknowingly made a fan in Ray Romano. She lives in Albuquerque, NM with her dead mother and blind dog where she tweets furiously all day as @anngora.
Jason Green has been producing and performing comedy in Albuquerque for the last 8 years. His history is the stuff of legend: vague and lacking in detail. Goofy, Cerebral, Critical, Sarcastic: These are just a few of the several hundred words in his vocabulary. A gentle reminder that enlightenment is riddled with confusion, Jason is often described as "The big guy with the messed up hair and glasses." Jason has delighted crowds with his bewildering rhetoric and self-defeating prophecies on stages across the country, and in his own words: "it's high time you all get used to it."
Sarah Kennedy recently relocated to New Mexico from New York where she was called a “rising star in the NYC comedy scene” by Backstage Magazine. She’s been a featured on MTV, The Today Show, SiriusXM and has written for The Advocate, Reductress, and Laughspin. She's performed in multiple comedy festivals across the country and was also a finalist in NBC’s Stand-Up For Diversity nationwide comedy contest.
Meow Wolf artist Carlos Medina is based in Santa Fe and tours nationally. His bi-lingual stand-up embodies the idiomatic culture of Northern New Mexico. His series "Norte Saying of the Day" has reached millions of fans around the world. He hosts a monthly comedy showcase at George RR Martin's Jean Cocteau Cinema in downtown Santa Fe.
After abandoning the professional jump rope circuit with a torn ACL and a broken ego, Doug Mellard decided to grab a mic and hit the stage in 2003. Audiences in Austin, Texas were soon treated to an unprecedented brand of rapid-fire, topic-jumping humor that gets laughs where others take breaths.
Just a few years later, he was voted “Funniest Person in Austin” at the Capitol City Comedy Club by a panel of judges comprised of Comedy Central, “The Tonight Show,” and “Montreal Comedy Festival” representatives. Soon after he made it to the semi-finals of NBC’S “Last Comic Standing Season 4” and later appeared again on “Last Comic Standing Season 6” and Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham.” The former co-host of Sirius XM’s “Naked and Fearless” has also performed at Comedy Central’s “South Beach Comedy Festival,” “Moontower Comedy Festival” and at SXSW for the “Doug Benson Interruption.” Doug was a fan favorite and regular at “Fun Fun Fun Fest” performing alongside acts such as Henry Rollins, David Cross, and Slayer. If he’s not headlining a venue near you, you can catch him as a regular opener for Tom Segura across the country. Doug was also a guest on Your Mom’s House with Tom and Christina Pazsitzky and performs all over Los Angeles where he now calls home. Doug released his debut album, Fart Safari, on Stand Up! Records in 2015, and the followup album, Fart Safari 2: Fart Harder, which recently dropped in September of 2018 with a third album to be recorded in the summer of 2019.
Doug, never one to rest between punch lines, has been steadfastly writing and laughing his way up the creative chain-of-command. Expect Doug Mellard to continue delivering rapid-fire laughs as he moves his career forward to larger horizons including coast-to-coast road dates and more national TV exposure. His comedic energy is infectious, and he is eager to spread it as whole-heartedly as he feels it.
David Rodriguez is the Winner of the prestigious Comedy Works New Faces Competition in Denver. His standup has been featured on NPR and at Just For Laughs in Montreal. When he isn't traveling for comedy he is at home in Fort Collins, Colorado with his wife and two wonderful children and lovable idiot dog where he is either cleaning or trying desperately to nap.
In addition to having two first names, Tony Sam is also an accomplished comedian/writer/producer who holds a dual degree in both Molecular and Marine Biology. Look, he’s f***ing smart, okay?
Behind the scenes he is head writer and Co-Executive Producer of the hit show ‘Food: Fact or Fiction?’ starring Michael McKean on the Food Network, and has written for MTV’s ‘Ridiculousness’, Super Fan Builds (Netflix), Jay Leno’s Garage (CNBC) and more. As an actor he’s appeared on TRU TV’s Those Who Can’t, Hack My Life and CONAN on TBS.
He's performed at prestigious comedy festival's such as Just For Laughs, RIOT LA, Bumbershoot, and the NY Fringe and his debut comedy album, “Scaredy Cat,” was so f***ing fantastic, LA WEEKLY named him a Comic to Watch. Ooooooh.
Albuquerque local, Bicyclist, Comedian. Jandro is short for Alejandro born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico the oldest of 4 brought up by a single mother. He makes the people laugh with his relatable stories and easy going attitude.

Cat Savage is a transplant from Mississippi who has settled in the Southwest and is coming up quickly in the Albuquerque comedy scene. She covers topics with her jokes and quirky songs that some consider off limits, but with an undeniably personal perspective. Cat is also a member of Sick Son Production and has performed on the Four Corners Comedy Festival.
Dawn Schary, a bicoastal transplant and globetrotting gypsy comedienne, pushes the envelope with her seductively insightful and spontaneous comedy, bringing the audience together in a collective spiritual experience of love, laughter, and hypocrisy. She got her start in Seoul, Korea where the immigrant experience as an English teacher was too juicy to bear quietly. After performing at the 2012 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Paul Provenza said she could be the female Richard Pryor. Last year, she opened for Arsenio Hall at Buffalo Thunder, and more recently, with one of the original Latin Kings of Comedy, Joey Medina, at the El Paso Comic Strip. For the past seven years, Dawn has made Albuquerque her home, where she emcees retreats, fundraisers, and corporate events, making the participants' experience more memorable and impactful.
Tripp Stelnicki is a part of Santa Fe's only (and best!) stand-up comedy group, Wayward Comedy. He lives in Santa Fe and is originally from Chicago.
Born and raised in the UK, Eddie Stephens has firmly established himself as one of Albuquerque’s most popular and talked about comics. Whatever the subject, Eddie pulls no punches and leads his audience on a journey of paranoid self-discovery that can never be unheard. Eddie nearly opened for the guy who did the voice of Roger Rabbit.
Known for whip-quick wit and rollicking improvisations, Sam Tallent is one of the sharpest, most original rising talents in comedy today. Fresh off his New Faces debut at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Sam has been called "the absurd voice of a surreal generation" by the Denver Post, and, when not maintaining a "Black Flag esque tour schedule" (Savage Henry Magazine), Sam has worked alongside many of the biggest names in comedy, including Russel Peters, Ron White, Dave Chappelle, Doug Stanhope, Dana Carvey and Hannibal Buress. He recently won his battle on Comedy Central's Roast Battle, and was seen on VICELAND's Flophouse as well as the Chris Gethard Show. His writing has been published on VICE.com. His debut novel, “Running the Light”, will be available this fall wherever fine books are sold. He lives in Denver with his wife and dog.
They began as a small comedy theater, and have grown to become today’s leading brand in improv-based sketch comedy. With a variety of theaters, training centers and full-time, touring ensembles, you can find The Second City all over the world. You likely know MANY Second City alums, including Tina Fey, Chris Farley, Bill Murray, and Keegan-Michael Key (of Key and Peele.) The Second City Hollywood, brings their all-star cast to Santa Fe to perform The Really Awesome Improv Show. We are pleased to offer this to adults on Saturday night of the festival, as well as to children in a family-friendly performance on Sunday afternoon. Mary Upchurch is a ball of excitement, energy and enthusiasm with a pinch of self-deprecation and a dash of desperation. In 2017 & 2018 she was a finalist in AZ’s Funniest Person with a Day Job Contest and Big Pine Comedy Festival’s Best of Fest 2018. Mary is the host of the Wings with Friends Podcast.
Danger K Varoz is the creator, writer and host of New Mexico's only political news satire, The New Mexican Inquisition which airs on UABQ, Comcast Channel 27 and can be seen on Facebook and YouTube. Also on Youtube, Sketchy TV, a compilation of comedy sketches written and directed by Danger.
The 2019 winner of Albuquerque Alibi’s best local comic, Danger has carted his strange brand of stand-up and storytelling through sixteen cities all across the Southwest including featured performances at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, CA, The Westside Comedy Festival in Santa Monica, CA, and The Improv in Tempe, AZ. He has headlined Skylark Lounge in Denver, CO, Monkey Pants in Tempe, AZ, Headliners Comedy Show in Albuquerque, NM, and Clown House in Los Angeles, CA. He has opened for the likes of Baron Vaughn, Bruce Jingles, Kate Willett, Dave Ross, Steve Gillespie and Rob Cantrell.
